MOU Signed with FlataEX to Facilitate Technology Exchanges and Joint R&D

- To foster mutual cooperation between FlataEX and Sogang, including information sharing and internships, hands-on training, and employment-linked support for Sogang students -





On Wednesday, August 24, the Research & Business Development Foundation of Sogang University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with FlataEX to promote technology exchanges and joint R&D in blockchain.


With this agreement, the two organizations will push ahead with establishing a cooperative system for mutual development. To that end, they will focus on the following initiatives: 1) Jointly implementing industry-academia R&D programs and sharing information; 2) Providing lectures for short-term training sessions and holding external expert seminars; 3) Offering Sogang students opportunities for internships, hands-on training, and employment-linked programs; and 4) Promoting industry-academia collaboration through LINC projects.


Director Cheong Hyeon-sik of the Research & Business Development Foundation said, “FlataEX’s business knowhow in virtual assets, combined with Sogang’s digital technological prowess, is expected to create significant synergy effects. Going forward, joint R&D and LINC 3.0 projects are expected to enhance industry-academia collaboration between FlataEX and Sogang University to a greater extent.”


CEO Kim Deok-jung of FlataEX noted, “Competent IT talents from Sogang University are playing a pioneering role in the research of future-oriented industry technologies involving blockchain and Web 3.0. I will do my best to have our experts at FlataEX support these students in further developing their expertise and experience in relevant technologies. I believe this agreement will serve as a stepping stone for industry, academia, and research bodies’ efforts to create a blockchain ecosystem together, upheld by trust, responsibility, and innovation.”
