This agreement is aimed at contributing to innovating smart manufacturing and factory engineering in the digital age by reinforcing connectivity with the SISW to co-develop technology and education programs. Based on this, the hope is that these programs will provide various software solutions related to 3-dimentional CAD/CAM, CAE, and autonomous driving for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It is expected that students will gain insights into manufacturing methods through learning in product modeling, performance evaluation, and machine programming through use of a series of SISW-provided software solution products.

Based on the MOU, the School of Engineering is opening an education course on Digital Twins based on SISW's software solution, for which students will receive an SISW Education Certificate in a software solution education course. In addition, it is agreed that related Industry-University research and assignments will actively utilize software, and consistent collaborative relationships will be pursued over regular exchange sessions.

Dean Jeon Doyoung of the School of Engineering said, "Through this collaboration with SISW, I expect our educational curriculum to be given a spur toward further development to lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and, by fostering professional experience and capabilities in the manufacturing engineering field, the School of Engineering will foster Sogang students as future leaders of the digital age."
