Grand Opening of ‘Paulus Lounge’

The first-floor lobby of Paulus Hall has undergone a complete transformation and has now been newly opened as 'Paulus Lounge.' On October 6 (Friday), Sogang Business School held a celebration at 3:00 p.m. to mark the grand opening.

Previously, despite the substantial space available, the old lobby offered limited seating. With the renovations now completed, the lounge offers better use of space with added seating and the construction of a new second floor. In addition, various seating options, from individual seats to tables for groups, are available for cozier areas for studying and relaxation. These changes aim to energize academic activities and encourage more interactions among students.

For convenience, individual seats come with outlets for charging laptops or mobile devices, and the lighting has been optimized for increased focus.

Paulus Lounge features a modern design with hints of refined aesthetics. Plants have been incorporated into the interior to create a more natural setting, providing students with a relaxing space for both studying and socializing.

Additionally, insulation sheets have been installed on the windows to address concerns about temperature control and to ensure a stable and comfortable environment.

Dean Kim Do-seong, also a professor at Sogang Business School (SBS), expressed satisfaction with the transformation, saying, “I am thrilled to see the PA hall’s lobby transformed into a bright, welcoming space that now serves as a comfortable hub for students. I look forward to seeing Paulus Lounge evolve into a bustling center for learning, and SBS remains committed to continually enhancing the learning environment and student convenience.”
