COVID-19 Case on Campus (July 27): Notice on Follow-up Measures
- Closure notice: 3rd floor of Teilhard Hall (Including ADT CAPS main control office, Office of Research & Business Development Foundation and restrooms) -
On July 27 (Tue), a member of ADT CAPS (Campus Security Service) was confirmed positive. The COVID-19 Committee has decided to take the follow-up measures as below.
1. Closure of the office and public spaces
The committee has decided to close the 3rd floor of Teilhard hall, including ADT CAPS main control office (where the confirmed patient belongs to), office of Research & Business Development Foundation and restrooms from 2PM July 27th, Tuesday to 2PM July 28th, Wednesday. We kindly ask for your cooperation despite inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.
* Emergency contact is available and the members of Office of Research Affairs have been instructed to work from home until 2PM July 28th.
2. Contact Tracing / COVID-19 Test Recommended
As the activities of the patient inside the campus occurred during the summer university closure, and it was mainly to patrol the campus after 10PM, we have completed thorough sterilization for the places the patient had been. Should there be any cautious places occur during the contact tracing, we will notify to the Sogang community members shortly. All of the members from ADT CAPS main control office have been received the PCR test and we also highly recommend the people who work at Teilhard hall (especially who are working at 3rd floor) to receive the PCR test as well.
Furthermore, we would like to inform you that thorough sterilization is ongoing for the places the patient has been. It is also possible that the building closure could be extended according to additional COVID-19 confirmed cases to be found or other reasons. We kindly ask for your cooperation in order to contain the spread of COVID-19 on campus.
