Purpose
To inspire faculty members’ motivations to obtain outside research and improve their potential as strong candidates for certain projects.
Contents and Scope
A. 0.5% of annual project expenses are supported as reserve funds for applying for a project in the case of a large project jointly
applied for by multiple full-time faculty members (Humanities & Social Sciences: KRW 100 million/year; Science: KRW 300 million/year or more); however, the potential application and amounts are determined by the Project Development & Planning Team considering the characteristics of a project, and such amounts cannot exceed the maximum supportive fund.
B. If the selection process of a research project is divided into a preliminary plan (or technology proposal, idea contents, etc.) and main planning evaluation, only those selected as subjects for main planning evaluation are supported (excluding the expenses spent on preparing a preliminary plan).
C. If the research is a strong candidate for a project because multiple faculty members are involved in the planning stage of a large project, the reserve fund for a project can be supported even before the project is announced; however, the potential application and amounts are determined by the Project Development & Planning Team considering the characteristics of a project, and such amounts cannot exceed the maximum supportive fund.
