2022 President’s New Year’s Address
Dear Sogang Family,
With bright hope and overwhelming joy for the
new year, I extend my greetings for 2022, the year of the black tiger.
I would
like to express my most heartfelt gratitude to all members of Sogang University
for having firmly stayed committed in their service to the community despite
the situation with the global Covid-19 pandemic. Since taking the post of
president in February 2021, I have also been committed to realizing the spirit
of Cura Personalis for the Sogang community, keeping the Sogang family in
mind all the while.
However, our
foray into reaching 100 years of Sogang would not be possible without the help of
you, our Sogang family. In order for various projects to continuously flourish,
such as AI, the metaverse, ESG programs, and a heightened level of industry-academic
cooperation initiatives, your continued attention and advice will remain paramount.
These projects will pass down Sogang’s excellence through the generations to
come. We ask for your support and encouragement as we strive to create the ‘Proudest
Sogang.’
Once again,
I would like to take this time to express my appreciation to each and every professor,
student, university staff member, and alumni who remain devoted to the
betterment of our school. I pray that peace and blessings will be with all of
you and your families belonging to Sogang University in the new year of 2022.
