KASBA Best Paper Award 2021 Goes to Dr. Kim Yong-jeong
Dr. Kim Yong-jeong (with advisor Ha Byoung-chun) of Sogang
Business School’s Global Service Management Department won the Best Paper Award
from the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA) at the 2021
KASBA Convergence Conference, held from August 16th to 18th
at Baekyang Nuri (The Commons), Yonsei University. The KASBA Convergence
Conference is marking 23 years as an integrated academic conference and the
largest academic event in the field of business administration. This year, 37
academic societies participated with a total of 217 papers published. The
conference was held under the theme ‘Second Startup in the Era of Global Asia.’
Dr. Kim, the winner of the Best Paper Award, conducted his research on ’Analysis of the Operational Efficiency of International Logistics Hub Ports,’ which suggested the operational efficiency analysis of major container hub ports in Northeast Asia regarding the recent global supply chain international logistics crisis tied to COVID-19. The award-winning paper was published in the SSCI journal Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review (TRE), registering a 6.875 impact factor (IF), and the examination for the paper is in progress.
Dr. Kim, who earned his doctoral degree on August 17th this year, was approved for early graduation from the doctoral program, having published a total of 14 theses, including in five international journals in SSCI and SCIE and nine journals listed in KCI, including Korean Management Review.
