Notice on additional confirmed patient

- Campus lockdown measures will be maintained until April 5 -

On April 3 additional confirmed case has been reported. The Confirmed patient’s case was a close contact with the patient of March 25. After being quarantined on the separate place of Gonzaga dormitory, the result came out as negative for the first COVID-test on March 26, but the second trial tested positive on April 2.

The confirmed patient did not stay at one place more than 5 minutes except for attending on-campus lecture on March 25. It was only Gonzaga GS25 that the patient just stepped by which is being overlapped by the other confirmed patient, we hereby announce that thorough sterilization is completed.

We have contacted to the people (Faculty, students and T.A) who have attended the on-campus lecture on March 25 to be tested COVID-19.

As announced on April 2, campus lockdown measures will be changed as below.

- Only the members of Sogang Community can come on campus, with Sogang ID.(Must show ID at the gate to gain entry)

- Both pedestrians and cars can enter through the front gate.

- Pedestrians can enter through the back gate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.(Cars still cannot use the back gate)

- Non-Sogang personnel/vehicles will still be locked out of the Sogang campus.

- Library access will continue to be adjusted according to government mandated social distancing levels.

Although additional case occurred from the close contacts of March 26, Gonzaga dormitory has minimized the risk of the spread-out by its thorough sanitation management. Please follow the guideline of the Committee until the situation gets settled. Thank you very much for your cooperation.
