Sogang University was once again ranked first in the general university category in the 2020 Korea Standard Service Quality Index (KS-SQI) run by the Korean Standards Association (KSA) for the seventh consecutive year. KS-SQI is a well-known holistic index used to measure the qualitative standards of general services among consumers who have had personal experiences with the products and services of the companies targeted for assessment.

President Park Jong Gou attended the 2020 KS_SQI Certificate Award Ceremony held at the Lotte Hotel on Tuesday, November 3 to receive the first prize in the general university category. The most recent KS-SQI survey was held from July to September 2020 and given to students of target universities excluding those who were freshmen at the time of the survey.

The assessment covered seven dimensions: Fundamental Service, Additional Service Beyond Expectation, Credibility, Kindness, Proactive Support, Accessibility, and Physical Environment. Sogang showed high scores in all areas and won first place for the seventh consecutive year in the general universities category in KS-SQI.

President Park Jong Gou said, "I am so pleased to have won first place for seven consecutive years in the general university category in KS-SQI. Shortly after its founding, Sogang established a special academic tradition of using Sogang-specific educational methods, which has been continually passed down to new generations of students. By maximizing the strengths of our small university, I will endeavor even more to create a model of a futuristic university and a symbol of innovation—a university with strengths in globalization, diversity, and integration/convergence."
