CEO Chang Dong-kook's Delivery of KRW 100 Million for Sogang Love Fund

Hyundai Greentec CEO Chang Dong-kook has delivered KRW 100 million for the Sogang Love Fund at Sogang University. The fund-delivery ceremony was held at 11 a.m. on July 2 (Thursday) in the President's reception room. The ceremony was attended by CEO Chang Dong-kook, President Park Jong Gou, Acting Executive Vice President Oh Kyung Hwan of Research & External Affairs, and Public Affairs Division Head Kim Juho.

 

A student in the Economics Department (1964) at Sogang University, and a 10th-year graduate of the Sogang Top Executive Program (STEP) of Sogang Business School (Graduate Programs), CEO Chang served as vice president of the Management Support Headquarters of Hyundai Electronics, Manager of Management Headquarters and vice president of Hyundai Engineering & Construction before taking the office of CEO at Hyundai Greentec. He was awarded the Labor Minister's Award in 1997 and the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit in 1998, and he has previously expressed his loyalty to the school by donating funds to build the Alumni Building.

 

CEO Chang stated, "I have always been thankful to Sogang for having acted as the source of my life. I am pleased to donate these funds, hoping to be of help to my school on the occasion of its 60th anniversary." He elaborated on his wishes, saying, "I hope these funds will be used wherever there is a need for the school to develop and foster many talented human resources."

 

Presenting the Letter of Thanks, President Park Jong Gou said, "CEO Chang Dong-kook has always practiced the spirit of service and sharing, and, with a special interest for Sogang, he has made a grand contribution to our development."
