Sogang Business Center Honored as Foremost Organ in Seoul

in Business Incubator Management Evaluation

Sogang Business Center had the honor of being evaluated as the foremost organ in Seoul in the '2020 Korea Business Incubator (BI) Management Evaluation,' operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS).

This honor comes as a result of quantitative and qualitative evaluations on management achievements and performances for over 260 MSS-designated BIs in 2019.

This evaluation index is geared toward a BI's comprehensive managerial status, composed of various items: Expertise, Operational Infrastructure, Efficacy of Business Plan, Networking with Related Organs, and Management of Operational Performance. Sogang Business Center earned particularly high scores in Expertise of Personnel, Operational Infrastructure, and Networking with Related Organs.

Hong Cheol Ki, Director of Sogang Business Center, said, "We will use this excellent performance in the BI Management Evaluation as motivation to advance further toward our aim of providing customized support for Sogang's related startups in their initial periods in order to generate excellent performances and move our BI toward attaining self-sufficient operations.“

Sogang Business Center currently operates various programs in support of 15 housed businesses related to undergraduate and graduate school students involved in startups, along with early startups housed within the area, in order to foster excellent entrepreneurs. Its startup support programs include support for BI Operation, Daycare Capacity Reinforcement, Sogang-Haedong Dream Startup, College Innovation, and Campus Town Stage 2 Unit in Campus Town, Seoul. As the operator of the Seoul BI Committee, Sogang Business Center plans to activate startups through networking and cooperation with startup-related institutions across Seoul.
