Scholarships(For Graduate Students)

Humanities and Social Science Sogang Global Fellowship (S) 1. Required grade is level 6 or above in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK), or over 550 in TOEFL PBT(210 CBT, 80 IBT), or over TEPS 550 or above 5.5 in IELTS.
2. The dean of department specially recommend new students who are regarded as excellent, and the Dean of the Graduate School makes the final decision in consideration of the budget
80% of tuition Must satisfy the requirement of both No.1 and No.2.
Sogang Global Fellowship (A) TOPIK 5th level or above, TOEFL PBT 550 (CBT 210, IBT 80), TEPS 550, IELTS 5.5 or above 40% of tuition
Sogang Global Fellowship (B) TOPIK 4th level 20% of tuition
Natural Science, Engineering and Integrated Knowledge Sogang Global Fellowship (S) 1. Required grade is level 5 or above in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) or over 550 in TOEFL PBT(210 CBT, 80 IBT) or over 550 in TEPS or above 5.5 in IELTS.

※ Note
1. Students who are from English mother-tongue country will be awarded "Sogang Global Fellowship(A)“
2. If GPA goes below 3.5/4.3 during the regular semester, scholarship will not be awarded from the next semester. However, students must take more than 3 credits for every semester except the last semester of regular enrollment.
3. If students submit "Language Proficiency Test Score" before the first date of 1st semester, the scholarship will be awarded from the first semester. If they submit "Language Proficiency Test Score" during the semester, the scholarship will be awarded from the next semester.
4. Students who participate in research project of professors will be awarded scholarship of one level higher class.

Full tuition covered & stipend for 2 years - 4 students every fall semester

Sogang-KOGAS Fellowship - Degree: All candidates must be graduates from a Bachelor’s degree program at a recognized college or university in Korea or abroad
- Applicants for Doctoral degrees should hold a Master’s degree
- Citizenship: Both applicants and their parents should not hold Korean citizenship
Full tuition covered & stipend for 2 years - 1 student every fall semester

KIEP Scholarship - Only for Korean students (Vietnam, India program)
- Should cover 4 areas in studied courses
25% of tuition & support for internships, study on the spot - 10 Students per year

Korean Government Scholarship Program - The applicant and his/her parents must have foreign citizenship
- Applicants must be under 40 years of age as of Sept. 1st, 2016(born after Sept. 1st, 1976)
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree as of August 31st, 2016
Full tuition covered & stipend for 2 years - Support from NIIED (National Institute for International Education; Korean governmental institute)

From the second semester on Scholarship A - Submitting a certain required score for an official English test within a year of admission
· IELTS: 7.0 or above
· TOEFL (iBT): 92 / CBT: 237 or above
· TOEIC: 880 or above
· TEPS: 806 or above
(※ For students who did not graduate from a university in an English-speaking country)
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 for M.A. programs, and 4.0 for Doctoral programs

Sogang International MBA (SIMBA)

For the first semester International Student Scholarship A 1) Candidates with nationality from an applicable English-speaking country; or
2) Candidates who demonstrate their facility in English through a recognized English proficiency test   (above IBT TOEFL 110, PBT TOEFL 637, CBT TOEFL 270, TEPS 850, or IELTS 8.0).
40% of tuition are covered -
Outstanding Student Scholarship B Candidates whose admission scores are within the top 30% among all successful candidates. 30% of tuition are covered -
International Student Scholarship B 1) Candidates who demonstrate their facility in English through a recognized English proficiency test (above IBT TOEFL 100, PBT TOEFL 600, CBT TOEFL 250, TEPS 800, or IELTS 7.5);
2) Candidates who demonstrate their facility in Korean using the applicable Korean proficiency test(above level 4 in S-TOPIK); or
3) Candidates who have completed a Korean language course through a Korean language institute at a 4-year university in Korea. The course's level of difficulty should be within the top 30% of the institute, and the certificate should be submitted and verified through the Sogang office.
30% of tuition are covered -
