Professor Hong Dae-sik received presidential citation in ‘Information Technology’ section

 

 

Sogang University Graduate School of Law professor Hong Dae-sik received honor to receive presidential citation of the government prize by being selected as the person of information technology promotion merits on the 49th Science day at 61st Celebration for information Technology Day.

 

On April 21, in celebration for 49th Science day the 61st Celebration for information Technology Day was held at at Korea Institute of Science and Technology(KIST) along with Ministry of Science , ICT and Future Planning(Minister Choi Yang-hee), Korea Communications Commission(Chairman Choi Sung-jun), Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies(Chairman Lee Boo-sub), Korea Federation of ICT Organizations(Chairman Yoon Dong-yun) and proceeded with the award ceremony for total of 121 award winners in science technology promotion, information technology promotion, national informatization, ICT integration merits were awarded with national badge, presidential citation and prime minister citation.

 

Professor Hong Dae-sik who received presential citation from the ‘information technology’ section entered in legal profession as a judge in 1993. With 23 years as man of legal affairs, he is specialized in broadcasting communication and legal system related to fair trade and policy. Broadcasting Communication Dispute Resolution Committee, Network Neutrality and Internet Traffic Management Policy Advisory Committee, Broadcasting Market Competition Evaluation Board, Retransmission Policy Consultative Group and through participation of various government committee activities, research related to broadcasting communication and legal advice activities, broadcasting communication legal advice activities, legislation related to broadcasting communication, he was publicly recognized for the great contribution towards policy improvement on fair competition environment and policy development so received presidential citation.
