Kwon Dong-hui, a Doctoral Course Student,
Receives Excellent Human Resources Award for BK21 Plus Project
Kwon Dong-hui, a doctoral course student at the Chemical and Biomolecular Department of Sogang, was selected as the excellent researcher for the 5th BK21 Plus Awards and received the award from the Vice Prime Minister for Social Affairs and Minister of Education.
This award was created to discover talented human resources who achieved prominent results among graduate school students and young researchers in the BK 21 Plus Project and encourage their work. Kwon Dong-hui, the selected excellent researcher, attended the award ceremony at Meritz Tower in Gangnam, Seoul on March 20 to receive the award certificate.
In the micro-control bio-chemical process project at Sogang led by Choi Jeong-wu, Kwon Dong-hui has participated in the research for “facilitation of the movement of high-volume high-viscosity active material to implement high-energy lithium cell.” Other than this, he has written theses on the formation of porous carbon-silicon composite materials and high-energy lithium cell application and super-capacitor application of concentrated carbon-nano tube particles that are processed with nitrogen doping. He has published six papers at the SCI (E) level, including ACS Nano, and has participated and presented at overseas academic seminars from 2016 to 2018.
The manufacturing technology of nano-tube sponge particles for realizing high-energy lithium-sulfur cells was recognized for its excellence and selected as one of the top 10 Nano Technologies, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy in 2018.
