Sogang Students Received Haedong Students Excellent Journal Award from Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers
Ahn Tae-ji (Doctoral course student)
Ahn Tae-ji, Cho Yeong-se, and Park Jun-sang of the IC Design Lab in Sogang University's Electronic Engineering Department (master's and doctoral course students led by Prof. Ahn Gil-cho and Prof. Lee Seung-hun) received the Haedong Students Excellent Paper Award on November 23 at the autumn symposium for the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers. As part of their prize, they also received 2 million won.
The Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers holds its autumn symposium every year to present the excellent research work of its members. In particular, this year's awards, which were sponsored by the Haedong Science and Culture Foundation, gave out the Haedong Students Excellent Journal Award to recognize the most excellent paper of the year, as selected from the papers posted in the Journal of Semiconductor Technology and Science (JSTS, a SCIE-level English Journal).
This remarkable outcome by researchers at Sogang's IC Design Lab has drawn considerable attention. Ahn Tae-ji, Park Jun-sang (doctoral course), Kim Dong-hyeon, and Yeo In-hwan (master’s course) received the Excellent Poster Award from the 25th Korean Conference on Semiconductors, held on February 6; the Excellent Journal Award from the Samsung Display R&D Center Contest on October 16; the Excellent Research Award at the 1st Semiconductor Academy-Industry Exchange Workshop on October 25; and the Best Poster Award from the International SoC Symposium on November 13. The IC Design Lab, since its inception in 1993, has been producing brilliant outcomes from various works of research, enhancing the quality and integration of research and education through more than 100 awards received by the lab's representatives.
