Prof. Kim Choong Ik Selected to be the Korea Representative for '2018 ASPIRE'

Prof. Kim Choong Ik of the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering has been finally selected to be the national representative for the 2018 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Science Prize for Innovation, Research, and Education (ASPIRE). The ASPIRE is an award given to young researchers both under 40 years of age whose research performance is excellent and have been actively participating in cooperation with other APEC countries. The ASPIRE theme of the year is “Smart Technologies for Healthy Societies.”
The ASPIRE has been conferred to scientists whose research outcome in the field of annual theme has been excellent, in order to celebrate the performance of young scientists who have contributed to promoting cooperation in science among APEC members and to improving the quality of research, by the APEC Policy Partnership on Science Technology and Innovation (PPSTI), from 2011.
