▲ Professor Ho, Park Tung
Professor Ho, Pak Tung at the department of Mathematics, has been appointed as the 2018 awardee for the research papers from the Korean Mathematical Society (KMS).
This award is given to a KMS member who has contributed the advancement of mathematics through recognition of the excellence in research papers presented in the last three years.
□ Information on the Paper
- Ho, Pak Tung, “The Webster scalar curvature flow on CR sphere. Part I”, Advances in Mathematics vol. 268 (2015), 758-835.
This 78-page paper is a result of the unique and original research on the Webster scalar curvature flow, one of the geometric flows. The author of the paper proved the Webster scalar curvature flow’s long-time convergence by using the PDE interpretation methodology. It is expected that the paper will contribute much to the advancement of the studies in relevant areas.
The award ceremony was held at Ambassador Park Jonggi Hall of Cheongwoon Building in Kyung Hee University, at 5:50 pm on April 21, Saturday, during the “2018 KMS Spring Meeting,” a forum that was held from April 20, Friday, to April 22, Sunday, at Kyung Hee University.
