- Sogang Sustainable Business Ethics Research Institute Opened the MOOC Service on Business Ethics
For the General Public and Students, for the First Time in Korea
The Sogang Sustainable Business Ethics Research Institute (SBERI, Chief Prof. Young Suk Park) has opened the Sogang-Markkula MOOC service on business ethics for the first time in Korea. The lectures are localized version of the MOOC lectures on business ethics held by the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University in the U.S., one of the world’s leading institutes in the field of business ethics. The lectures are distributed for free to corporate employees, the general public, and students, for the public good.
As the Sogang-Markkula MOOC free lecture on business ethics includes the basic theory on the business ethics, which can be easily understood, not only for business managers but also for the newly-hired, the general public, and students. The lectures will provide opportunities to scrutinize various ethical dilemmas and to understand the role of business ethics in the enterprise operation and corporate decision-making. In addition, the ethical solution and approach for business will also be discussed. This 6-week course requires the learning time of approximately 10 hours and the lecture can be taken by up to 70 students. According to the terms and conditions for course completion, students can receive the completion certificate issued by the SBERI chief.
